We recommend descaling your appliances every 2-4 months depending on how often you use them. Our descaler is a highly concentrated formula meaning smaller amounts of descaler is required, resulting in a more cost-effective product per wash which saves you money.

With your machine empty of clothing, place 3-4 scoops of The Luxe Lab Washing Machine & Dishwasher Descaler into your detergent compartment. If your machine has a drum clean cycle select that otherwise select a cottons cycle. We recommend using temperature of 90 degrees otherwise anything above 60 degrees is ok.
What else can I do to reduce the effects of hard water and maintain my washing machine?
- Reduce the number of cold washes, we recommend at least 1-2 times a week to wash towels or bed linen on a minimum 60-degree cycle.
- Run a drum clean or 90-degree cottons cycle once a month with no clothes, detergent or descaler present. This will help flush out any unused detergent that may be built up in the machine.
- Degrease your washing machine 3-4 times a year, this can be done by placing 3-4 scoops of The Luxe Lab Dishwasher Powder and running the drum clean cycle or a cottons cycle with a minimum temperature of 60 degrees.
