Common Locations for Appliance Model Numbers
The model and serial number of your appliance can be found on the compliance or data plate which is fitted to all appliances. These details are very important to ensure we can provide the correct spare parts and service information for your appliances. Please see the below guide to help locate your model and serial numbers.
Refrigerators and Upright Freezers
Usually all refrigerators have labels with their model number located on the inner left or right wall of the fridge. Other places you may find the model plate are up the top near the ceiling, around the doorframe or inside the door, behind the kick plate at bottom of Fridge and under or behind the chiller/crisper drawer.
- On the either interior wall
- Look inside, up the top near the ceiling.
- Around the doorframe or inside of the door
- Behind the kick plate at bottom of Fridge.
- Under or behind the chiller/crisper drawer
Chest Freezers
Chest freezers normally have the model number on the back or either side of the unit. on either end of the unit, or on the back of the cabinet. Sometimes the model label can also be on the underside of the lid, or up the top of the inside back wall of the freezer.
- On the left or right outside of the unit
- On the outside back near the power cord
- On the underside of the lid/door
- Inside on the rear wall, up near the top.
Rangehood
The most common place for the Rangehood model number plate, is on the inside wall. To view the plate, you will first have to remove the filters and have a look up inside the unit. You may also require a mirror to read the number, due to it normally facing towards the rear wall.
- Remove the filters and look up inside the unit to find the model number
Ovens & Stoves
Model numbers on Wall Ovens and stand-alone Stoves are normally on a little plate in the inside lip of the door frame. Sometimes they are in the interior side of the cooking area, Or on the inner side of the grill door, if one exists.
- Inner lip area of door frame.
- interior side walls
- inside of grilling door (if one exists)
- On the inside edge of the door
- Inside the warmer drawer, down the bottom (if unit has one)
Cooktops & Hobtops
Model numbers for most Cooktops and Hobtops under the appliance,.Either on the side or bottom of the plate. On some models you can sometimes find them under one of the element knobs.
- On the side of the cooker below the bench, usually facing the back wall.
- On the bottom of the cooker
- Under one of the element knobs
Dishwasher
Normally you can find the dishwashers model number on the inside edge of the door. Otherwise you can check on the interior side walls. If all else fails, you may have to pull the Dishwasher out to check the sides or view the model number on the rear of the machine.
- Look around the inside edge of the door.
- On the interior walls.
- Either on the exterior sides or rear of machine
Front Loader Washing Machine
Model numbers for most Front Load Washers are usually on a label inside the front area, behind the door. Other places it can be found are on the inside of the door or on the back of the machine.
- Open the door and look on the inner lip of the dryer.
- On the inside of the door
- On the rear of the dryer near the power cord
Top Loader Washing Machines
Model numbers for most Top Loader Washing Machines are found on back of the control panel. Other places it can be found are on the inside of the lid or around the opening edge.
- On the rear of the control panel (near water attachments)
- Open the door and look on the inner lip of the washer.
- On the underside of the lid
Clothes Dryer
Model numbers for most clothes dryers are usually on a label inside the front area, behind the door. Other places it can be found are on the inside of the door or on the back of the machine.
- Open the door and look on the inner lip of the dryer.
- On the inside of the door
- On the rear of the dryer near the power cord
Coffee Machines
Model numbers for Coffee Machines can usually be found either on the side, the bottom or inside of the service door for the machine. Other places you could try are underneath the drip tray, under the grinder base or try checking under the top cover of the machine.
Built-in Coffee Machines, normally have the model number on a sticker or plate positioned behind the front fascia of the machine (outer detachable covering).
- On base of the grinder or side of the body
- Inside of the service door
- Underneath the drip tray
- Remove the top lid and check behind the reservoir
- Built-in Machines – look behind the front fascia of the machine
Barbeques
Model numbers for portable B.B.Q’s are normally on the outer side or back. If it is a built-in B.B.Q, generally it’s under a removable cover on the side (ie where a drip tray pulls out)
- On the outer side or rear of the unit.
- Open the door and look on the inner wall, or on the inside of the door
- Built in BBQ’s – under a removable cover on the side around the drip tray area
Wine Cabinets
Model numbers for Wine Cabinets are nomaly inside the door on the lower right hand wall, or found on the back of the cabinet.
- Inside the door ion the lower right side wall
- On the outside rear of the cabinet.
